Do I need an electrician to install an EV charger?
Yes, by law. EV charger installation is a fixed electrical installation and must be carried out by a licensed electrician to Australian Standards. Installation involves permanent connection to your home’s electrical system and must be carried out by a licensed electrician to AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3012, with a compliance certificate issued at the end. It is not a DIY job, and a plug-in solution is not the same as a properly installed home charger.
We assess your switchboard capacity first, add a dedicated circuit, install the right circuit protection, and issue the compliance certificate at hand-over.

The 2027 Queensland smoke alarm deadline is closer than most people think.
From 1 January 2027, every domestic dwelling in Queensland must have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms installed in every bedroom, in every hallway connecting bedrooms to the rest of the home, and on every storey. Most homes currently fall short, and most homeowners don’t know yet.
We install fully compliant systems now, well ahead of the deadline, so it’s handled before demand spikes and installer availability shrinks.
