Service Areas

North Brisbane
Service Areas.

Licensed electrical work across eight North Brisbane suburbs — deep local knowledge of the housing stock, wiring era and the small differences that matter on the job.

Sheds, garages & old style homes

Electrician in Wavell Heights.

Wavell Heights is a suburb where mid-century Queenslanders and classic brick homes sit alongside newer builds. Every one of them has an outdoor shed, a garage workshop, or a converted patio that needs proper power and lighting. Older wiring in the roof space is common, and switchboards are often overdue for an upgrade.

We work across the suburb on shed power runs, subboards to detached garages, workshop lighting and safety-switch fault-finding, plus the switchboard modernisation that usually goes with it.

Retail, commercial & fault-finding

Electrician in Chermside.

Chermside is North Brisbane’s major retail and commercial hub, and the housing surrounding it ranges from long-standing single-storey homes to newer townhouses and apartments. High density means high demand on switchboards and safety switches, nuisance tripping and single-circuit outages are our most common Chermside callouts.

We handle fault-finding on both residential and commercial systems here, plus commercial fit-out and maintenance work for shops, offices and food-service tenancies in and around the Westfield precinct.

Older housing stock, switchboard upgrades

Electrician in Everton Park.

Everton Park is characterised by older housing stock, classic old queenslander cottages and 1960s–70s brick homes that were wired for a very different appliance load than today’s household actually draws. A modern kitchen, air-conditioning, EV charging, and a home office running on an original switchboard is a recipe for repeat trips.

Switchboard upgrades are what we do most often in Everton Park: replacing ceramic fuses with modern RCBOs, adding safety switches to every circuit, and sizing the board correctly for present and near-future load.

Character homes, lighting design

Electrician in Windsor.

Windsor sits close to the city and is heavy with old character homes, timber Queenslanders, tuck-pointed brick, high ceilings and picture rails that renovations have to work around, not through. Lighting design in these homes is not a matter of dropping downlights everywhere; it needs restraint.

We do lighting installation and design in Windsor with that in mind: pendants on character ceilings, subtle wall lighting on VJ walls, and switching that keeps original architectural features clean.

Younger households, EV chargers

Electrician in Nundah.

Nundah has a young demographic, first-home buyers, young families, professionals, and the vehicle mix has swung noticeably toward EVs and plug-in hybrids over the last few years. Home charging is now a standard part of the renovation conversation, not an afterthought.

We install home EV chargers in Nundah week-to-week, including the switchboard capacity check, dedicated circuit and RCBO, and the compliance certificate. Where a home isn’t quite ready electrically, we scope the switchboard upgrade first.

Industrial pocket near the airport corridor

Electrician in Northgate.

Northgate is a bit of a hybrid, residential streets closer to the station, an industrial and commercial pocket further out toward the airport corridor. That mix of light industrial warehouses, transport-adjacent businesses and standalone commercial premises drives most of our work here.

We handle commercial fit-outs, warehouse power and lighting, three-phase installations and ongoing electrical maintenance for Northgate operators. Same licensed team, whether the site is a retail tenancy or a working warehouse.

Townhouses & higher-density living

Electrician in Clayfield.

Clayfield has shifted noticeably toward higher-density living, with townhouses and small apartment complexes now sitting alongside its long-established character homes. Townhouse electrical work has its own particular challenges, shared walls, individual metering, tight roof spaces and body-corporate rules that shape what can be done where.

We install and upgrade electrical in Clayfield townhouses regularly: lighting, powerpoints, ceiling fans, alarms and data cabling in a way that respects the build without cutting corners.

Queenslanders & 2027 smoke alarms

Electrician in Kedron.

Kedron is Queenslander-heavy, with a lot of raised, timber, high-set homes that pre-date modern smoke alarm requirements by decades. With the 1 January 2027 Queensland deadline for interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms fast approaching, Kedron is where the compliance gap tends to be widest.

We install compliant, interconnected photoelectric smoke alarm systems throughout Kedron homes. Every bedroom, every connecting hallway, every storey, well ahead of the 2027 rush.

Suburb FAQs

Quick answers by suburb.

  • Do you charge extra for the further-out suburbs?

No. Our pricing is by job scope, not by kilometres. All eight North Brisbane suburbs are within our normal service area. Unsure if we can service you? Get in touch.

  • Do you cover sheds and outbuildings?

Yes, shed power runs, subboards, workshop lighting and safety switches for detached buildings are one of our most common Wavell Heights jobs.

  • Can you do commercial work around Chermside?

Yes. We do retail and office fit-outs, maintenance and fault-finding across the Chermside commercial precinct as well as residential work in the surrounding streets.

  • Are Everton Park switchboards commonly outdated?

Frequently, yes, a lot of Everton Park homes still run older-generation switchboards that need modernising to safely handle current loads.

  • Can lighting design in Windsor character homes preserve original ceilings?

Yes. Careful fitting selection, VJ-friendly wall detailing, and thoughtful switching lets us install modern lighting without butchering the character of the home.

  • Is EV charger installation straightforward?

Usually, the streetscape and switchboards are relatively modern. We still assess capacity first, but Nundah is one of the more common suburbs we install home EV chargers in.

  • Can you do industrial and commercial work in Northgate?

Yes. The Northgate industrial/commercial pocket is one of our regular working areas for warehouse, fit-out and maintenance work.

  • Are you familiar with Clayfield townhouses and Kedron Queenslanders?

Yes, different challenges, same team. Townhouse electrical in Clayfield and Queenslander rewires/smoke alarm installs in Kedron are both recurring work for us.
